What is Draughts?
Draughts (British English) or Checkers (American English) is a classic strategy board game involving diagonal moves of uniform game pieces and mandatory captures by jumping over opponent pieces. Draughts vs Checkers
While the names are often used interchangeably, "Draughts" is the historical term used primarly in the UK, while "Checkers" dominated in the US. Both refer to English Draughts, played on an 8x8 board with 12 pieces per side.
How to Win
The objective is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or leave them with no legal moves. Strategy involves controlling the center, protecting your back row, and strategically "sacrificing" pieces to promote your checkers to Kings.
